Money sending service through mobile phone to be effective in all post offices

Money sending service through mobile phone or EMTS service will be effective in all the post offices of the country gradually. State Minister for Post and Telecommunication Tarana Halim said this in the parliament while answering to the question of treasury bench parliament member Habibur Rahman.

The State Minister said, at present EMTS service is active in 2 thousand 750 post offices throughout the country. Besides, EMTS service is in operation in 26 thousand outlets through agents. The service will be expanded in all the post offices gradually.

While answering to another question of treasury bench member Mamataz Begum she said, a service was introduced named ‘Postal Cash Card’ to transfer money from one place to another in a secured way. 1 thousand 374 Postal Cash Card service points are active through POS machines till present, she added.
