7 leader-activists of Jamaat remanded

Court has granted 3 days remand for 7 leaders and activists of Jamaate Islami including Dhaka metropolitan south Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul and Nayebe Ameer Monjurul Islam Bhuiyan.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Kazi Kamrul Islam passed the remand order after completion of hearing on Monday.

The other remanded accuseds are member Sharif Uddin Ahmed, supporter Abdus Sabur, working committee secretary Mokarram Hossain and supporters Alauddin and Manik Mia.

Sub Inspector of capital’s Kadamtali police station Azharul Islam placed the accused before court and appealed for 10 days remand.

Dhaka metropolitan public prosecutor Abdullah Abu for the state and advocate SM Kamal Uddin, Abdur Razzak and Luthfar Rahman Azad for the accused completed the hearing.

After completion of the hearing court granted 3 days remand for the seven accused.

Allegation was brought against them of holding secret meeting to create anarchy in the country and for damaging state property at Mahmud mansion under Kadamtali police station in the capital at 5 pm on 26th February last.
